Burwell Bash - Traditional Music Summer School - Brian Finnegan - Jock Tyldsley - Sam Pirt - Ed Boyd
About
First run in 1991 by Hazel & Greg Smith for Shetland Fiddlers, the course has evolved over the years with the introduction of accordion, whistle & flute and guitar.
In 2001, under the enthusiastic & imaginative direction of Stephen Bardwell & Brian Finnegan it became known
as the 'Burwell Bash'. Stephen still runs the course now with help from the Bardwell Family, Richard Moon, Josie Smith, the tutors and some of the regular students.
As the name suggests, Burwell Bash offers a fun filled, week long indulgence in traditional music of many styles with tuition in instrument & band performance.
Burwell Bash is non-profit aiming to breakeven or invest back into the course.
