Sam Pirt
Accordion

Sam has been the accordion tutor of the course since 2003, and has been very popular. We love his fantastic band arrangements, his amazing foot percussion and the extra fun that he brings.

A founder member of the award-winning band 422, Sam scooped top honours at the BBC Young Folk Awards in 1999. He then went on to showcase with 422 on the main stage at Cambridge Folk Festival and to perform at the prestigious Tonder festival in Denmark. He is a brilliant accordion player and is rapidly making a name as a respected teacher, with an engaging personality and the most infectious smile on the folk scene.
